All business conduct should be well above the minimum standards required by law.

Accordingly, Mustard Bridge Foundation Community members must ensure that their actions cannot be interpreted as being, in any way, in contravention of the laws and regulations governing the Organization’s operations.

The Mustard Bridge Foundation code of conduct revolves around our four key values:

1. We believe in sharing opportunities

2. We believe in learning

3. We believe in selflessness

4. We believe in inclusiveness in diverse mix

General Conduct:

As part of Mustard Bridge Foundation community, we must conduct ourselves in a just and respectful manner at all times.

Anyone who is part of Mustard Bridge Foundation community must not engage in sexual harassment, or conduct themselves in a way that could be construed as such, for example, by using inappropriate language.

Conflicts of Interest:

We perform our duties conscientiously, honestly, and in accordance with the best interests of the Organization and partners. Employees, volunteers and community leaders must not use their positions or the knowledge gained as a result of their positions for private or personal advantage. Regardless of the circumstances, if anyone at Mustard Bridge Foundation community sense that a course of action they have pursued, or are presently pursuing, or are contemplating pursuing may involve them in a conflict of interest, they should immediately communicate all the facts to the leadership for discussion.

Outside Activities, Employment, and Directorships:

All members of Mustard Bridge Foundation community share a serious responsibility for the Organization’s good public relations, especially at the community level.

Everyone must, however, avoid acquiring any business interest or participating in any other activity outside the Organization that would, or would appear to create a conflict of interest – an obligation, interest, or distraction – that may interfere with the independent exercise of judgment in the Organization’s best interest.

Integrity

All staff of Mustard Bridge Foundation are expected to act and perform their duties ethically and honestly and with utmost integrity. We strive to be transparent in all of our communications. Our reputation as an organization that our community can trust is our most valuable asset, and it is up to all of us to make sure that we continually earn that trust.

We find strength in diversity. Different people have different perspectives on issues, and that can be valuable for solving problems or generating new ideas. Being able to understand why someone holds a viewpoint doesn’t mean that they’re wrong. Don’t forget that we all make mistakes, and blaming each other doesn’t get us anywhere. Instead focus on resolving issues and learning from mistakes.
